The Chairman of the Foundation, former mayor Kaj Kjær, handed over the donations at Duus`s Vinecellar.
Kaj Kjær stated that he was very happy to be able to support a number of good and charitable purposes.
Before that, he briefly outlined the economic conditions for relatively small foundation like ours.
A combination of low interest rates and the possibility of investing, had made it very difficult to produce a surplus, but somehow we have been able to produce around 40.000 Dkr. which was donated to the following good courses:
De frivillige på Aalborg Universitetshospital, Obelpigerne, Aalborg Forsvars- og Garnisionsmuseum, 4. juli festlighederne, Frelsens hær, Aalborg Pensionistorkester, Aalborg Fægteklub, Kristineklubben, Foreningen De Positive, Hjernesagen i Aalborg, Centerrådet Vestergårdens Strikkeklub, Danish Red Cross visitor service and Naturhornblæserne.
During the donations Glögg and apple dumplings were served, Hanna Vig, Per Iversen and Kjeld Truslev intertained with song and music.
After a couple of cozy hours, the chairman Kaj Kjær thanked all for attending, and wished everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Christian the Fourth Guild has given them a "pat on the shoulder."
At a small ceremony in Christian the Fourth’s Guild the two officers, Frank Pedersen and Anders, were given a "pat on the shoulder" from the Guild. A man had fallen into the fjord, and was about to drown. Then the two officers jumped into the cold water (one degree C) and hold him until they were able to get him back on the quay and taken to Aalborg University Hospital, where a specialist doctor stabilized him.
After staying in the cold water, the two police officers quickly stripped off their wet clothes and were given a blanket to warm up while getting into the heat of a car. Both had managed the stay in the cold water very well, and were soon back in service.
The Guild thought it was a heroic deed, and decided to honor the two officers with a “pat on the shoulder”, consisting of a small amount and a bottle of “Laugsbitter”.

Happy recipients of “The Good Spirit Prize” from Christian the Fourth Guild
Every year, Christian the Fourth Guild donates a price of 1.000 kr. and a diploma, to a student in each of Aalborg’s high Schools and Tec. College.
The price is awarded to a student: Who with his/her good humor, positive attitude and happy disposition has been creating a good atmosphere
Each year the Guild Visits one school and is handing over the diploma and money in person, and instruct the recipients to use the money wisely, that is, something nice to him/her and his/her friends.
This year we visited the business school in Turøgade - and here the “The Good-Spirit-Prize” went to Kristian Appelgren Pedersen from 3 C.
With the following motivation: Kristian is full of humor, has a positive attitude, and he certainly spreads good atmosphere at the school.
Tech College had appointed apprentice chef Sebastian Pedersen, who when not at school, is in the kitchen of the restaurant Textur of Vesterbro in Aalborg.
Five benchers meet in restaurant “Texture”,where Sebastian, to his surprise, was meet with a trumpet solo, a speech from Chief bencher Niels Voss Hansen, who handed over the diploma and money.
The motivation from Tech College was: Sebastian is diligent, careful, has great professional knowledge and respect for raw materials, is a good friend and have a good humor.
One of the good things about Christian the Fourth Guild's “Good-Spirits-Prize is, that one does not have to be the wisest or most capable/diligent student - but combining it does not harm.
The chief bencher also told Sebastian to use the money a little bit senseless here close to Christmas.
