04After the walk round Jens Bangs Stenhus it was time for the “gala luncheon”. Carla Sands enjoyed the two red sausages and a piece of bread which was – as it should be – accompanied by “potato juice” and singing by all the gathered persons.

There was a really good and happy atmosphere which regrettably had to be stopped due to the very tight program – so Carla Sands and the two main speakers entered – together with the security staff – the waiting cars and hurried to Rebild Bakker where the next item was the “tent luncheon”.

At this years initiation Robert Bundgaard who is a Danish/American citizen was initiated in absentia. Robert Bundgaard will celebrate his 100 years birthday the 14th of July – which is 10 days after the Rebild celebrations. Due to his age Robert Bundgaard who is otherwise fresh and clear in mind could not cope with the travel to Denmark. His grand-nephew Vagn Thomsen – who is a member of the Guild´s board – represented him.and the two main speakers entered – together with the security staff – the waiting cars and hurried to Rebild Bakker where the next item was the “tent luncheon”.

Vagn Thomsen brought a photo of his grand-uncle and it was photographed together with ambassador Carla Sands, chief bencher Niels Voss Hansen and Vagn Thomsen who carried the photo. Vagn Thomsen will bring the result of the photographing with him when he will visit his grand-uncle on his 100 years day in North Branford CT in USA.

Ambassador Carla Sands and the main speakers Søren Juul Jørgensen and Jesper Steinmetz plus Robert Bundgaard have through their initiation joined about 8,000 other members in 104 nations.<<<
