Christian the Fourth´s Guild donates the annual “Good-Spirit prizes” 2017
One of this year’s receivers of the “Good-Spirit prize” is delicatessen-butcher’s apprentice Laura Maj Petersen from the “Butcher in Hasseris”. She was given the prize when several benchers of the Guild appeared at the shop in Hasseris.
In his speech to Laura chief-bencher Niels Voss Hansen said, that besides what was mentioned in the rules, there was nothing about being specially clever or diligent, but that it naturally would never do any harm being so. After that he handed the prize to a visibly touched and surprised Laura May Petersen, while the Guild’s troubadour Per Iversen blew a fanfare on his trumpet.
Laura May Petersen will finish her apprenticeship in June 2018. She had at first planned to be a cook, but as she wanted to be in contact with her customers, she chooses instead to be a delicatessen-butcher, because that would give her plenty of occasions to give service and advice to customers.
The other recipients of the ”Good Spirit” donation was given their prize at their education institutions, and everywhere they have been told that the money was meant to be spent in the spirit that they are given: to make happiness bloom in the joyful city of Aalborg. <<<
